Remember our post when we were wondering about the “thing” that made Robert Scoble cry?
Back then we predicted it to be an open source project, it turned out we were wrong. We also though it might has to do with the launching of Windows Server 2008 but they came out to be not related at all. Furthermore, EVERYBODY expected the project to be HUGE, however we found out it is a little bit below expectations, although it is a great project!

February 27, 2008. Mark that date, Microsoft will be launching some open source project and we’re pretty sure will create a buzz on the internet and the blogsphere.
How did we know? It was through Robert Scoble, who was lucky to be invited by the two researchers at Microsoft, Curtis Wong and Jonathan Fay, to watch a demo of the project. So we can say that so far he is the only person who knows details about the project. We hate teasers!

Microsoft partners received yesterday a notification that Microsoft Windows Vista SP1 has been released to manufacturing, and that it will be available to download for Technet and MDDN subscribers in March 2008. So everybody can breath, it is official now!
Good new also for whoever is waiting Windows Server 2008, as it has also been released to manufacturing and will be launched on February 27 2008 along with Visual Studio 2008 and SQL Server 2008.
